BENITO DOMINIANI
Benito Dominiani arrived in the United States in 1950 and continued to participate both as a player and an organizer of soccer, his favorite sport.
Together with a group of enthusiastic sportsmen, he founded the Roma Soccer Club of Paterson. Through his activities with the Roma SC and other teams, Dominiani had been a great contributor to the growth of soccer in the city of Paterson and the surrounding areas.
For the past 47 years, he has dedicated his time, knowledge, energy and passion for the sport of soccer to the Roma Soccer Club in the capacity as president and later as secretary-treasurer. It was during his term as president in the 1965-66 season that the Roma Soccer Club won the professional championship of the American Soccer League.
Benito Dominiani has also served as one of the executives of the Schaefer League. His tireless work with the New Jersey State Soccer Association, especially as the treasurer for a number of years, has been a contributing factor to the growth of soccer in the Garden State.
