Ellen Varsallona, 61, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, NJ.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Varsallona volunteered for numerous organizations including the Mercer County Wildlife Center, Garden State Soccer League, and the New Jersey Soccer Association. She loved crafts, gardening, animals but mostly, spending time with her loving family.
She is predeceased by her father, Robert Volk, her step-father, Kenneth Bogner, Sr. and her nephew, Harold “Jaws” Bottchenbaugh; she is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Pasquale “Pat” Varsallona; her mother, Ella Mae Roberg; her sons, Derrick Varsallona and Andrew Varsallona and his wife, Michelle; her grandchildren, Giuliana Varsallona and Anthony; her siblings, Elizabeth, Robert, Evelyn, Kenny, Keith, Joseph, and Steven; her mother-in-law, Angela Varsallona and her sisters-in-law, Brigida and her husband, Cosmo and Angela and her husband, Rosario, all of Italy; and many nieces and nephews here and abroad.
Funeral services will begin Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great RC Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton, NJ 08690.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
Family and friends may call on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
