Any team that wishes to participate in the 2021 Regional Tournaments for both Women Open and the Men U23, must register in both the NJSA and the USASA Region 1 Cup website.
1) To register in the NJSA for the National Cups, you must LOGIN in to your Team Manager account in MEMBERS ONLY and click on the link titled “NATIONAL CUPS APPLICATION”
You must pay online the NJSA Application fee of $50 to get approval.
So far, the teams that have applied and paid for the NJSA fee and are approved to register in the Regional Tournaments, are:
JACKSON LIONS FC WOMEN (for the Women Tournament)PENINSULA AZTECS (for the Women Tournament)
The deadline to register in the NJSA Cups Application, is set for MAY 25, 2021
2) after you get approved by the NJSA, you MUST register on the USASA website, by clicking on the following link below where you will find the registration link and all the details.
Women & U23 Tournaments
Some notes:
The Region is kicking off the Women’s Championship with the possibility that the winner may take part in a national final against teams from the other Regions. The format of the competition will be dependent upon the number of entries but it definitely will involve group play to determine the finalists.
The Men U-23 Championship will also take place the same weekend. The trophy has been dedicated to Gus Xikis, long time director of the Region’s cup program who passed away last year. Group play will be Saturday with semifinals and final on Sunday. Players born on or after 1 January 1998 are eligible for U23 registration.
Both tournaments are limited to 16 sides. All teams and players must be registered through their respective State Association or USASA affiliated league.
USASA Registration will close on MAY 31, 2021.
The USASA Region 1 Tournament entry fee is $105 and it includes all tournament costs/merchant fees.
